For a long time as a photographer, every minute detail about the technical components of a photograph plagued my mind before composing each shot. I had to know in my head the perfect combination shutter, aperature, ISO and composition in order to make each shot as perfect as i can be....


I dont anymore.


I have come to realise that it is not how you take the photo, but the moments you capture that make a photo special.

There is nothing greater than being able to feel the emotion someone else is feeling, simply by observing a moment that they had. This is what i love more than anything as a photographer, and this is what i can share with you.

Emaly Love

Often as a photographer i am faced with something or someone that inspires me. Recently i had the opportunity to meet with Emaly Love, -A fashion brand headed by Kelly and Emma Jackson.
Their passion for using the skills they have to transform clothes into so much more than fabric, is a refreshing take on what ive known to be fashion. The underlying motive behind their line is LOVE.
On the path that i have walked as a photographer, i have seen many forms of love, and here i open another chapter, allowing Emaly Love to guide the way.

But for me, the richest facet of any one photo is the emotion that it captures. In a recent engagement shoot, i was lucky enough to witness a love between two people that spoke much louder than great light or an even composition. The love so clearly evident in these few photos is beautiful, it tells of trust, joy, and happiness. This, is their story.

So here it is. My first post. In some ways i want to just creep into the blogging world... slowly adding untill it seems i was always here, you had just never noticed. Though there is another part of me that wants to enter with a bang. And it with great excitement that i can enter this blogging world; that seems to thrive so abundantly, with shots from a recent wedding i photographed.

mag and bel.

bel is a dentist. (well... soon to be) and she has her own cow. she makes amazing caramel apples, and she loves bushwalking.

mag is a sweed. He likes caviar from the tube, and is training to be an electrician. He is also one of my best mates, and it is with him that i myself have struggled, rejoiced and grown.
